Here’s one for the Collectors, STAR’ signed Earrings with Crystals. Brilliant and faceted crystals in silver tone Setting. Feel of the metal and quality of stones are very similar to my Givenchy Collection. Measures 1” x .6”, in excellent condition.
Star Staret, a Chicago based company aka: Star Novelty Jewelry Co., Inc began making costume jewelry in 1925. 1925-1940, they marked their pieces ‘STAR’, but changed their name to STARET. So, after 1940s they began marking their pieces “Staret”. The company ceased operations in 1947. Star jewelers created “Costume Brilliants” through the use of high quality crystals, imitation of topaz, ruby, emerald, sapphire and amethyst.
