Double Deck Brown & Bigelow (Redi-Slip) “Comme Ci, Comme Ca” (aka “53 Vargas Girls”, “Vargas Vanities”) Pin-Up Playing Cards, Alberto Vargas Designs, c.1953

Exceptional double deck set of the famous and popular pin-up cards published by Brown & Bigelow, Redi-Slip brand, c. 1953, featuring the illustrations of the legendary Alberto Vargas, marketed as “Comme Ci, Comme Ca.” The same cards were also marketed as a single deck under the names, "Vargas Vanities" and “53 Vargas Girls.”

Each deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, one of which is a biography of Vargas. All cards except, the Joker with the Vargas biography, have original illustrations – thus, a total of 53 Vargas girls. The cards are wide, measuring 90mm x 63mm, and come in the original packaging -- a box inside a sleeve.
