| The SPK-CHR-20U-20AC-240AL-120V-STRB-M1 Outdoor Solar Charge Controller from Larson Electronics provides a fully automatic way to manage and protect batteries connected to solar panels. Designed for 12V battery voltage, the unit features a 12V to 120V solar inverter and temperature compensation with an external temperature sensor. The solar charge controller is protected by a steel housing and can be installed on poles. The SPK-CHR-20U-20AC-240AL-120V-STRB-M1 protects solar-powered systems from voltage overshoot and discharge. This fully automatic unit is compatible with 12V battery voltage and has a 20-amp charging current. Equipped with a 750-watt 12V to 120V solar inverter, protection comes in the form of temperature compensation with an external temperature sensor. System components are cooled by two, 110 CFM internal fans (12V). A 20U 19" rack mounting assembly offers 20 spaces and three adjustable shelves inside the unit. Designed for outdoor locations, this solar controller is protected a steel enclosure with a number 2 Corbin lock. A grey powder coat finish protects the unit from rugged conditions. The door of the enclosure features a 3-point latch and a 12"-H x 16"-W door mounted filter. A document pouch at the interior of the door holds important documentation. Operation: When sunshine is absent, light intensity decreases. The controller will recognize the starting signal after 6 minutes and the load will start to work according to the set parameter. When there is sunshine, light intensity rises and the controller recognizes the close signal after 6 minutes and the load will stop working. NOTE: When using this smart controller, it is important to note that you must first connect with the battery, then the solar panel. Hubs: The SPK-CHR-20U-20AC-240AL-120V-STRB-M1 features two, 2" NPT hubs at the bottom of the unit. Mounting: This system is designed for mounting on traffic light poles. |
