Highly collectible vintage 1960s black lacquer on wood box purse, made in Hong Kong. This unique, retro handbag features a iconic black lacquer finish with yellow roses and irises against dark leaves – a classic romantic floral design that was extremely popular in the 1960s.
• Clear Lucite (acrylic) handles
• Gold tone metal hardware with latch closure
• Original “HongKong” tag still attached inside (see photos)
• Interior has stains and some discoloration
• Structured hard-shell box shape, perfect as a display piece
Condition: good used vintage condition. The lacquer has a gorgeous luster with minor surface scuffs and a few nicks commensurate with age Lucite handle is crystal clear with no cracks or yellowing. Latches work perfectly. No odors, loose parts or tears.
