Alexander Calder - “Damier” (I consider this piece Calder’s homage to Mondrian)
It is from the famous Derrière Le Miroir (behind the mirror) limited edition lithograph Maeght Paris. Printed in 1966
I will include the CoA because it provides some info on the provenance. However I will refrain from commenting on any errors in their CoA….. they got the size right though

This is a very tasteful homage to the simplicity and brilliance of Piet Mondrian, and was given an unmistakeable “Alexander Calder” twist while maintaining the color scheme and use of empty space that Mondrian was a true master of.
This is in excellent condition.
The execution and genius of this piece can not be understated. Astonishing how it looks great in a professional setting like an office and also has a playfulness that can warm up a child’s play area.
