In 1955, NBC made a deal to run selected reruns of episodes on NBCs late-afternoon weekday schedule (5:305:55 pm Eastern time) from September 1955 to May 25, 1956. NBC wanted a gimmick to get kids to listen and so they offered a secret Lone Ranger word each day that would allow kids to order a mask "like the one worn by the real Lone Ranger!" for just 10 cents (which was actually quite a bit of money for a kid in those days). You sent a dime with a card with the secret word and your address and Altray would sent you a mask just like the one worn by the Ranger.
You are buying ONE of EACH color mask shown. Measures roughly 5.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. Marked Made in Hong Kong.
