This is a stunning antique silverplate sugar bowl by Mermod, Jaccard & Co., circa 1880s1900.

This elegant two-handled piece features a highly ornate Rococo Revival design with delicate floral repoussé, scalloped scroll feet, and a rich, curvaceous silhouette typical of late Victorian aesthetic preferences. A beautiful example of American silver craftsmanship from the Gilded Age, this sugar bowl was crafted in quadruple silverplate a hallmark of high-quality production in the 19th century.
