Beautiful Victorian rosewood dressing box, dating to the late 19th century and featuring ornate mother-of-pearl and brass inlay on the lid and escutcheon. The box retains its original tray, framed mirror, and document pocket—elements found on quality vanity and dressing cases of the era.
A handwritten note is on the underside of the tray, reading that the box was a Christmas gift from a mother to her daughter Mary in 1896.
