This is the 1926 revision of the Famous White House Cook Book in very nice condition considering it’s age! Book has several photographic picture plates/ Illustrations of food and the White House as well as a portrait of the reigning First Lady.
Inside the inner cover is a handwritten name and address of a previous owner from Denver, Colorado dated 1927.
"The White House Cook Book was a comprehensive cyclopedia of information for the home, containing cooking, toilet and household recipes, menus, table etiquette, care of the sick, health suggestions, facts worth knowing, etc"
At the back is a mini advertising catalog, kinda cool, lots of old ads! ( also from Colorado)
Condition:
In very nice condition for it's age! But it does have FLAWS:
Hardcover in fair condition. Front and back hinges are cracking.spine is torn in two places, cover is chipped, faded, and soiled. Decorative endpapers. Faded speckled page edges. Clean text throughout.
