Envelope from 1968 commerating the Apollo 8 the first manned lunar mission. The first manned mission to leave Earth orbit. It is postmarked December 24, 1968 from the Cape Canaveral post office. December 24, 1968 is the day Apollo 8 went into orbit around the moon. The crew made a famous Christmas Eve broadcast from lunar orbit on live television to millions of people. The envelope is signed by Frank Borman, the commander of Apollo 8. Colonel Borman personally autographed this envelope in the 1970s.
