The BCA Dozer Shovel is the flagship model of our shovel lineup, now featuring a "hoe mode" for increased efficiency when clearing debris. This updated version of our original Dozer shovel allows you to push large chunks of snow and debris without lifting.
With an innovative oval-concave shaft design, low-profile stompable blades, and lightweight, reinforced handles, BCA shovels are now stronger, lighter, and more packable than ever. Our breakthrough oval shaft was the first of its kind to prevent breakage during prying, and the addition of a concave radius on both sides enhances its strength without adding weight.
Perfect for hard slab avalanches or deep burials, the flat "stomp edge" on the blade, combined with heat-treated 6061 aluminum, allows you to penetrate tough snow conditions by applying body weight. Auto-engaging spring pins facilitate fast, hands-free blade and shaft assembly.
This shovel’s blade is designed to lie flat in your pack, maximizing space for other essential gear. The front portion of the blade also features a smooth surface for clean, accurate snow stability tests. All BCA extendable shovels meet the UIAA standard for avalanche rescue tools.
