Striking and unusual specimen of barite (baryte) rosettes and microcrystals clustered over a sharp pseudomorph of quartz after calcite. The overall shape is dramatic, with the central spear-like formation rising above the barite blades and forming a beautiful contrast with the crystal faces. The piece includes areas of sparkling druzy and what appears to be partial smoky quartz at the base.
Unfortunately, I do not know the provenance of this piece, as I am not the original owner. It is being sold as found and is uncleaned. A great addition to any mineral collection or display shelf.
