This is the new "BEAN SACK" fabric from Nigel Cabourn, inspired by the texture of burlap sacks used to hold grains like coffee beans.
The fabric is a cross weave with hemp for the warp and linen for the weft, resulting in a fabric with a moderate firmness and the roughness of hemp.
In those days, the burlap sacks were marked with colors and patterns to distinguish the farms of origin. This product takes that historical context into account and features a single stripe at the bottom.
The zipper is by Waldes, and the vest is reversible.
