This Obi was purchased in Tokyo Japan in an antique shop. It has been well kept and has a true Japanese antique smell from being stored in a Japanese wooden dresser. It’s hard to describe the smell but it’s not bad at all. Comes from a smoke free pet free home. Reminds me of the numerous rolling hills of mountains after mountains located in Japan- such a beautiful Japanese piece of art
