I am including 8 pieces of SFF-8643 mini-SAS cable with 4 of SFF-8482 connectors with 15-pin power port and 12gbps SATA/SAS data port (3.3ft). I used these on my SATA/SAS controller to connect my HDD in group of 4 drives. The application is for both server and desktop PC. You wouldn't necessarily need this cable for SATA drives per se. However, if you are connecting SAS drives, you'd need this type of cable unless you are using a passive backplane. Because of the way SAS drives are designed, you cannot use separate SATA data cable and SATA power cable unless you use this adapter. The cable is 3.3ft (100cm) long from one end of the connector to the other. They are in excellent condition. Please ask any questions before buying. Thanks
