The Chief CMS018024W is an adjustable extension column designed to give installers precise control over the drop distance when hanging a projector or flat panel display from a ceiling. Its white finish blends easily with typical ceiling materials, so the hardware stays unobtrusive in finished spaces.
Height can be set anywhere between 18 and 24 inches in 1-inch steps. A notched inner sleeve lets you make the change without taking the mount apart, allowing quick fine-tuning after the display is already in place.
Both ends of the column use standard 1.5-inch NPT threading. This lets the tube screw directly into Chief ceiling plates above and accept Chief projector mounts, display adapters, or other accessories below, so there is no need for extra adapters in the stack.
The column is built from aluminum for strength while keeping its own weight low. It is rated to support up to 500 lbs, making it suitable for large projection rigs, multi-panel video walls, or heavy interactive displays in conference centers, classrooms, houses of worship, retail environments, and home theaters.
An internal cable management path runs the full length of the column. Power cords and signal cables feed through a side port at the top, stay protected inside the tube, and exit near the display for a clean look and fewer snag hazards.
