Original Civil War-era U.S. eagle breast plate, carried by Union soldiers on their cartridge boxes (ammo pouches) during 1861–1865. The plate features the raised eagle with arrows and olive branch design. Back is lead-filled with rusted iron wire hooks still present. Displays well with strong detail despite age and patina. A great addition for any Civil War relic or military history collection.
