Clarkspoon Diving Planer
Clarkspoon Diving Planers are designed for successful trolling at a variety of speeds. Secure a hand line or rod/reel line to the brass ring and attach the leader of the lure to the hole in the flat blade. When ready to begin trolling, carefully submerge the weighted end of the planer at an angle into the water. The main line will be aligned at a 90º angle to the flat blade and the planer will run in the water at an angle of approximately 45º until a strike occurs; at which point the planer will trip and the main line will be in line with the planer as it is retrieved to the surface.
