This is one of the calcites mine first discovered from the Balmat mine in New York. Prior to discovering the light pink to purple zones on lower levels of the mine, these clear calcites were found with talc on higher levels.
This crystal has excellent clarity or visibility. It also has internal structures /cleaves that create the appearance of rainbows, seen in some of the photos.
Measures 1.66” x 1.50” x 1.14” and weighs 53g
