These are new but have some marks on the candles that were not covered by the box completely and on the packaging itself. They were stored in a box with other candles. The packaging is open in the front. Meaning there is no plastic covering on the front part of the box where the candles are visible. My guess is it was made this way so you can touch and see the twist design through the packaging. I also noticed some color variation between the candles. Due to age, I am guessing some are not as white, but still white nonetheless.
