I'm finally getting the hang of lighter coat colors, and I am quite pleased with this buckskin. I started with the Breyer Stablemate Fighting Stallion, removing his Breyer logo and seams, and carving his ears, nostrils and mouth. He's been repainted to a lovely dapple buckskin with earth pigments, acrylics, and colored pencils, and his eyes,nostrils, mouth, and hooves are glossed.
He does have a few dark flecks on his face and neck so he's not quite perfect, but you have to look close to really notice it (he's quite small), and he would be a stunning addition to any Breyer or paleoart collection. This model measures about 3 1/2" tall. He is not a toy, but is intended as an art piece, and should be handled with care.
