This Keystoneware ice bucket was produced in the 1930s. The company did not survive the depression. The mark tells us it is chrome-plated over copper. The bucket is a single piece, as lifting the handle opens the lid but dies not remove it. The inside of the bucket is lined with mirrored glass. It’s a great piece of sleek design.
There is scratching of the chrome plating and some wearing off of the chrome on the bottom surface. There is grime on the glass and several spots where the mirrored finish has worn off.
The bucket is substantial, weighing in at just over 5 lbs. It is 14” high with the handle up and 7-1/2” high with the handle lowered. 6” bucket opening, 5-3/8” across the base, and about a 22” circumference around the top rim of the open bucket.
