No switch, you have to unscrew the bulb slightly or unplug to turn on and off, I just unscrew the bulb works fine for me. Insulator light, very steampunk looking and vintage took me a while to perfect, I hand make them, I use mine as a desk lamp but it makes for a cool nightlight. Decor for kitchen or bar
