Dorothy C Thorpe cakeplate, signed by Elaine is very elusive in pristinely kept condition. Dorothy was born in 1901 & passed in 1989. She was a famous Mid century modern designer with a huge following in Hollywood, starting with Clark Gable. More recently her museum quality work was featured on “Mad Men”. This piece was a wedding gift from the 60’s that never left the gift box and retains its original foil seal. Please see photos for pristine condition. I personally have never seen another one anywhere. Ships from pet/smoke free home.
