Fenton Glass 1939 Vintage 8" T Spiral Optic Ruffled French Opalescent Vase

Fenton Glass vase white spiral optic vase with a ruffled opalescent rim. Original Fenton silver foil sticker is worn but intact. Fenton originally made spiral optic pieces for only one year in 1939. This treatment was not produced again until the late 1970's at which time it was made in shapes that were not in the original line. This vase is one of the original 1939 pieces. It is referred to as shape number 186. The white color of the spiral optic design is known as French opalescent. The shape is wider at the base, has a long narrow neck, and a tri-corner crimped rim. The shape includes a twist in the glass, which can be seen and felt, running horizontally up the vase in contrast to the opalescent spiral which is vertical. Very good preowned collectible condition with only a tiny bit of rust on inside bottom. I have not tried to clean it. No chips, cracks, or scratches. Measures 8"T x 4" x 4" Top, 3 3/4" widest point, 3" base. Weight 14 oz.
