This is a G. DeBrekht "Saving Up for Winter Santa" Santa's Surprise Boxes Series figurine, item #51915-1.
The figurine is part of a limited edition collection, with only 1,500 units made.
It features a Santa sitting with a squirrel, and both are holding mushrooms. The squirrel lifts up to reveal a secret compartment.
Each piece begins as an original Russian woodcarving, and then a mold is made and hand-painted in an Old-World style.
The item shown was produced in 2005.
