For DIY crafters and Flute Techs:
This gemeinhardt 2SP flute (serial # F44132) needs some maintenance. It plays all possible notes- but they sound overblown, compared to a nice flute. There’s some leaks in the pads. I wrapped the E key in plumbers tape, and it now plays all the notes. But… there’s leaks and it’s just not a flute for a beginner. This flute is best for a flute maintenance person who can replace a few pads, or a crafter: it would make a nice flute lamp b/c it’s in nice cosmetic shape.
There are 2 small dents on the “gemeinhardt” branded headjoint. Otherwise, it’s in good condition.
The body has 2 or 3 very slight dents. From a music stand.. the dents are small and on the underside of the instrument.
The foot joint fits… but I believe it to be not gemeinhardt. To me- the foot joint looks nickel plated. It fits. And it’s in otherwise good condition.
This one has an Armstrong case that blue lining and is in good condition.
