Made in Germany circa 1960-1990 great detail with lots of raised images and deep carvings. This decorative pitcher holds: 52 fl. oz. and is 9.5" high - 6-1/2" deep - 6-1/2" wide; empty weight is 2 lbs 5 oz – Hand-painted and Visibly Stamped on the bottom “Original Gerzit” “Gerz Germany” The rhyme on the innkeeper's belly reads: “Reiner Wein und gutes Bier Sind des Wirtes Schoenste Zier.” (Clear wine and good beer are the innkeeper's best adornment) ...Also... (A good host's best decor, his beer and wine and such liqueur)
This is in great condition!! No cracks or chips!! One owner, kept in a glass cabinet and never used.
