First edition, second printing hardcover copy of How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie (Simon & Schuster, 1948). A very rare early printing of this iconic self-help book, by the author of How to Win Friends and Influence People. Jacket is now protected in new archival sleeve but previously experienced some liquid staining, tears, creases, chipping and some missing areas around the edges. Boards discolored and slightly bowed from liquid damage with corners and spine ends bumped. Some faint staining and slight waviness to some pages due to liquid as well. Sparse underlining and margin notes in pencil. Binding remains fairly strong though spine leans a little bit. See photos for condition.
