The HPE P01367-B21 is a battery kit that uses lithium-ion technology and delivers 96 W of Smart Storage backup power for HPE ProLiant servers. Designed for Smart Array Gen10 and Gen9 RAID controllers, it preserves write-cache data the moment an unexpected outage strikes, so every transaction in flight survives the reboot.

When a server suddenly loses power, cached writes normally held in volatile memory can vanish and leave file systems in an inconsistent state. This battery keeps the controller cache alive long enough to move that data to non-volatile flash, safeguarding databases, virtual machines, and any workload that depends on consistent storage.

The same battery also supports HPE NVDIMM modules. If the system goes dark, it automatically copies the contents of main memory to onboard flash, protecting in-memory analytics or high-speed transactional applications that cannot afford data loss.
