This figurine is 5.5" tall and has no cracks, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark (6 Missing Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1979 – 1989. Master sculptor Arthur Moeller originally designed “For Father” from Sister Maria’s sketches in 1938.
As always, Sister Maria drew to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. This figurine depicts a small boy who is bringing his father his beer stein and some turnips for dinner. The boy has his hands full and is barely holding on to the turnips and the mug.
This little boy is too charming to resist
