Ikue Asazaki, a leading figure in Amami island songs, released her major debut album "Utaba Utayun" in 2002, and it's finally available on vinyl. UA is a guest artist on the album.

This work, which combined Amami island songs with piano, an unusual combination at the time, is a masterpiece that resonates with the heart with its simple yet unique and overwhelming vocals.
It includes 11 songs, including the famous song "Obokuri ~ Ee Umi," which conveyed the emotion of island songs to many people, "Tokunoshima Bushi" featuring UA, whose mother is from the same region, and "Asagao Bushi," which was sung with the sound of the tide on the beach of Kakeroma Island, Amami, her hometown.
This monumental album by Ikue Asazaki, which has been supported by Haruomi Hosono and many other musicians, and has also given people who don't know island songs a chance to experience the depth of the songs and spread "Amami," is finally available on vinyl.
