Intel RealSense D415 Depth Camera

The Intel 82635ASRCDVKHV is the RealSense D415 depth camera, designed for developers and product teams that need reliable and highly accurate 3D data without the complexity of larger scanning rigs. It delivers high resolution depth information while simultaneously streaming color video.

The D415 uses active infrared stereo depth technology. Two depth sensors work with an infrared projector to illuminate the scene, and a separate RGB sensor records color images. This setup produces a depth map at up to 1280 x 720 resolution with a refresh rate of 90 frames per second, while the RGB stream reaches 1920 x 1080 at 30 frames per second. A 65 degree by 40 degree field of view concentrates the camera on a relatively narrow area, which helps capture fine details.

Because of its precision, the camera fits naturally in projects such as desktop 3D object scanning, kiosk based facial authentication, volumetric capture for mixed reality, and dimensioning systems that measure packages or stock. Connecting the D415 is simple. A single USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C cable carries both power and data, so any computer that supports modern USB can start working with the camera immediately.
