Based on a rare, vintage 1950s J.C. Penney half-zip sweatshirt in a kids' size, INTERIM has tuned it to their signature oversized fit. It incorporates many vintage-inspired details, such as long ribbed cuffs and hem, flat-seam construction, and a reproduction WALDES zipper. The zipper is slightly longer than the vintage original, adding a design accent. The fabric is generously used to create a hyper-big size. The super heavy wool fabric series is designed with a hyper-big fit, allowing it to be worn as outerwear.

Inspired by the origins of sweatshirts as wool athletic wear and a certain (infamous?) wool sweatshirt from a brand in the 1990s, we challenged ourselves to develop an original wool sweatshirt fabric. It was nearly impossible to knit this on a circular knitting machine, but we succeeded in creating a reverse-side fabric using extremely thick, coarse, and non-slippery TOP-dyed Shetland wool with a special coating technique. Minimal finishing processing was applied to create a fabric that gains character with wear. The reverse yarn uses the finest extra-long staple cotton, known as the "jewel of fibers" and "miracle cotton."
