Large Giltwood Picture Frame

A finely cast and richly detailed antique giltwood picture frame, displaying elegant scrolling foliate ornamentation at the corners and along the rails. The frame measures approximately 25” by 29” high overall, with a sight opening of approximately 20 inches by 24 inches, making it well suited for portraiture, landscapes, or period prints of substantial scale. The reverse shows original wooden construction, old hanging wire, and signs of age commensurate with a genuine antique example. See pictures for condition and dimensions.
