Vintage '80 cast clay baking dish / covered casserole is made and signed by Montgomery Smith of Swan Island Design Pottery, Maine.
This terracotta colored Duck shaped high-fired clay cooker can be treated as any glazed earthenware, not necessary to presoak and start in a cold oven. An ideal pot / tureen for long, slow cooking, oven to beautiful table piece.
Fabulous for stews, soups, roasts and more. Excellent also for bread puddings and such.
A lovely useful and decorative vintage piece. Pre loved. A slight chip on inside of cover does not affect usage.
Approx overall dimensions 15" x 8.5" x 8" tall.
