Gary Gygax and Donny Kaye invented the tabletop role playing game in 1973 in the form of the classic Dungeons & Dragons. The whole concept of rolling up characters and then playing adventures largely in the imaginations of a group was brand new at the time and, unable to find a publisher for their game, Kaye and Gygax founded their own company: "Tactical Studies Rules," abbreviated TSR. D&D was a runaway hit, spawning an entire RPG ecosystem.

For sale here is a played-with copy of the first edition of the Marvel game, Complete and in good condition. This is a great item for any Marvel fan, but a particularly brilliant gift for the middle-aged nerd (or former nerd) in your life.
