This is the Minolta DiMAGE A1, a high-end compact digital camera.

It has 5 megapixels and a built-in lens.
The maximum resolution is 2,560 x 1,920, which is sufficient for viewing on a monitor.
Prints up to A4 size are possible, but A3 might be difficult.
It boasts CCD-specific color tones, a maximum shutter speed of 1/16000 second (reportedly the first of its kind?), and image stabilization.

Around 2003-2005, the era of built-in lens cameras was in full swing, with new models like the Canon PowerShot Pro1, Olympus C-8080, COOLPIX 8000 series, and Sony DSC-R1 constantly appearing.
The A1 is the predecessor to the Konica Minolta A2, which competed during this time.

RAW format is supported. It can still be used actively if developed with the latest Lightroom, etc.

This is a masterpiece with a magnesium alloy body (which will likely never be produced again) and a construction that spared no expense. It's also far more compact and easier to carry around than a single-lens reflex camera.
