The MET: Monet Bridge and Water Lilies Scarf

New, never used. It is still in its packaging. Great present for the art lover in your life, or yourself. Original price from the MET store is $65. Description below taken from their website. Comes from a pet and smoke free home.

Description:
In 1893, Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926), a passionate horticulturist, purchased land with a pond near his property in Giverny, intending to build something "for the pleasure of the eye and also for motifs to paint." The result was his water-lily garden. In the summer of 1899 he completed twelve paintings of views of the wooden footbridge over the pond, including Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies (1899) in the Museum's collection. The picture's vertical format gives prominence to the water lilies and their reflections. Our colorful scarf design is adapted from a detail in Monet's luminous work.
