OOAK Vintage REAL OPAL Handmade Blown Glass Gauges Plugs Gauged Earrings Black

Gently loved, no flaws! These were made by a friend of mine long ago when I used to travel and do a lot of music festivals, and they have actual pieces of real genuine opal in them. It's apparently one of the only gemstones you can use in the glass blowing process because its composition is so much like glass and it can hold up to the heat and fuses well. These earrings are very special and one of a kind. I've been on the fence about selling them for sentimental reasons, but I think it's time to find them a new home so they can be worn, and well loved, by someone else. The opal pieces are gorgeous, see video. All types of rainbow color flashes. They are blown into clear glass with black bottom piece. When you look through the top of them, the black bottom piece shows through and creates the perfect contrast to show off the opals. It might look like the glass is scratched or scuffed, but it isn't. It's just smudges from me handling them, and also the unique details and bubbles
