The QNAP TL-R2400PES-RP-US is a rackmount enclosure with a 4U form factor and space for 24 drives, ready to add instant capacity to any NAS that runs QuTS hero or QTS. It accepts both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or solid-state drives, so you can mix high-capacity disks with high-speed SSDs to match your workflow.

Two Mini-SAS HD SFF-8644 ports link the enclosure to a host NAS at up to 64 Gb/s. If you need even more room, you can connect additional TL series enclosures in a cascade chain without disrupting daily operations. Expansion takes only minutes and does not require RAID rebuilding, because the drives become part of the existing storage pool.

For reliable, around-the-clock service, the chassis includes two 550 W power supplies arranged in a redundant configuration. Three 80 mm fans move air efficiently through the bays to keep drives within their optimal temperature range, helping to protect valuable data in demanding server rooms.

All management tasks flow through QNAP Storage & Snapshots Manager, the same interface you already use on the host NAS. You can monitor drive health, update firmware, schedule power on or power off events, and receive automatic alerts. Host-based power management lets the enclosure start up and shut down in sync with the main NAS, saving energy and reducing wear.
