I recently upgraded to bigger and more drive-bay NAS. I used this for about a year and just completed the upgrade. This unit is one of the latest NAS with the capability to run the new QuTS Hero OS using ZFS technology. I upgraded the memory to 16GB so that QuTS Hero and ZFS could be implemented. This NAS has 6 drive bays with ability to add the largest drives available. I've used Seagate Exos 24TB for the total RAW capacity of 144TB. The maximum drive capacity is not particularly specified by the manufacturer, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use larger that 24TB drives if necessary. Please note that the NAS does NOT come with any HDD. If you need any HDD, please ask me for bundle offer. I have dozens of large drives (1 to 5 years old depending on the size).
