This is an Antique or almost Antique version of Rafaelle Monti’s 1871 “The Mother” Chalkware Bust by Alexander Backer Co. It was produced between 1920 and 1930. It is marked with the Alexander Backer Company Logo and a Copyright Symbol on the reverse of the pedestal. It is stunning representation of the Blessed Mother and the Baby Jesus.
