This beautiful unit would look great as a display piece in an office or home. It is a repainted Remington portable no. 2.
Traveling Case shows signs of wear, especially around the edges. The handle is leather and is starting to break along the edges.
The typewriter is in good condition. It contains an original tape- though given the age it no longer contains ink and is slightly fraying. A new tape would need to be purchased if you wanted to actually use this typewriter. The lift carriage works to lift keys up into the proper position for use. All other moving parts work. No maintenance has been performed on this unit. If you want to use it you may want to take it to a local typewriter maintenance person.
This unit was made in February 1925. Its serial number is NM50680.
