DESCRIPTION: Beautiful and rare vintage Russian Hand Painted Folk Art Hinged Lacquered box. The artist has signed the lid below the painting of 2 water fowl flying over water with an Orthodox Church standing near a forest. Beautiful rich scroll work embellishes the oval picture. The interior is painted a bright red glossy lacquer. The box appears to be made of wood and is very well made. Perfect for any collector or makes a wonderful gift as a trinket dish. This item is from a NON-SMOKING home.
