This is a very scarce civil war spur that is mostly attributed to confederate use. You can see this spur on page 19 of Howard Crouchs Historic American Spurs and i included a picture from a copy of North South Trader, 2005 Vol 31 No 1 showing this spur. Stonewall Jackson was wearing a pair of these spurs when mortally wounded at Chancellorsville. I found this spur in a camp near Cedar Mountain Battlefield in 2002. It has the rare clip corners on front of strap guides. Its missing its rowel but otherwise in excellent condition. Thanks for checking out my profile, questions or concerns welcome
