This signed vintage photograph captures a trombone player named Earle Spencer at the Devon Photo Studio.
Robert Earle Spencer was an American trombonist and leader of a progressive swing big band bearing his name. Earle Spencer and His Orchestra. He formed the band in 1946 and disbanded in 1949. The band recorded for Black & White Records. The March 5, 1949 Billboard magazine listed the Earle Spencer Orchestra as a "B" Band one that grossed less than $200,000, but more than $100,000 during 1948.

Encased in a brown snakeskin patterned folder, the image exudes timeless charm and a sense of history. The inscription adds a personal touch, making this a collectible item for music or photography enthusiasts.

The inscription reads: "To Freckles: May you win all your arguments with this. Lots of luck. Your pal, Earle." The photo's folder bears the stamp of "Devon Photo Studio."
