These 6 sterling silver teaspoons are souvenirs of the coronation of King George VI in 1937. They are called "Monarchs of the Century 1837-1937" They come in their original box. Each spoon depicts the image of a different monarch on the handle. They are Queen Victoria, King Edward VI, King George V, Queen Mary, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth. The short reign of King Edward VIII is ignored, as is Queen Alexandra, the wife of King Edward VII The back of the spoon heads is stamped: Lion passant for British sterling silver Crown symbol for made in Sheffield "CB&S" for Cooper Bros & Sons Date letter "t" for 1936. The spoons are 12 cm long and weigh 111/112 grams and individually weigh between 17/19 grams Although the box has some sign of wear but but overall it is in good condition. Please study photos and email for any questions. These are unique and very hard to find.
