The market is absolutely saturated with fakes of this collection. This authentic collection is extremely rare. There are a few ways you can tell this set is authentic but the biggest one is that the blu Ray dvd is not blacked out. Anytime a blu ray dvd is blacked out that means it is a copy.
The DVDs may have very light scratches, but all DVDs are in excellent condition.
The belly band is very scratched and scuffed. One part is nearly broken.
The back of the dvd case is missing the paper. For those who have seen the original set it is only held on by a small glue dot, so they fall off easily.
This set was originally released in 2015 and includes all 11 Miyazaki movies except for Miyazaki’s latest release: The Boy and The Heron. The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki was priced at $249.99 when released.
It also includes a bonus features dvd.
Owning a set like this is every collectors dream, and is a must have for any Ghibli fan.
