Rare NYC Limited Edition Society Fund Raising Book, “The Four-Footed, Finned or Feathered Four Hundred “ American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) from 1989, published by the ASPCA, with a limited printing of only 2500 of these New York City Society personal photos of the donors to the ASPCA who are famous, big donors, or both. This is a book of 235 photographs of the society or celebrity donor and their pets. The photographers took these pictures for free. The celebrities opened up their houses, apartments, country houses, or just took a picture on the New York City streets or parks. These pictures are staged but have a candid and relaxed feel. The people noticeably relax and show a private and open side to themselves because they are being photographed with their unconditionally loving animal companions.
